In an effort to improve overall outcomes for children with hearing loss, a coalition of professionals that work with families and children with hearing loss, was formed in Cincinnati Ohio in 2009. Through this coalition, the project to help families of children that failed their hearing-screening move forward to a diagnostic test was implemented.

The coalition would like to thank The Oberkotter Foundation for their support for the Grant project. The principle creators of this project are: Dr. Scott LaJoie from the University of Louisville; Maria Sentelik, Executive Director, Ohio Valley Voices; Beth Popich, Independent Consultant and Reena Kothari, Ohio Department of Health.

A special thank you to all the members of the Coalition, without their honest input and work this project would not have been possible.
